Taking up Space was an experimental unit with Sculpture II students at Clarke Central High School. The unit began with a brainstorming activity where we discussed sculpture and public art and allowed the conversation organically flow. Yarn was used throughout the conversation and passed from student to student. In the end, the yarn served as a physical representation of our conversation and was our first collective sculpture.
